If you’ve made your own garments, bags or helped someone learn, you’re ready to teach a simple class.

YOUR CLASS CAN PAY FOR ITSELF!
If you charge $50 per student:
4 Students = $200

That will cover most studio rental blocks, everything after that supports your time, materials and PROFIT!!!!

Other Details

You are welcome to bring any sewing machines or equipment you need.

10 person max per class is based on sewing machine access but we can easily host up to 20+ with mixed machine use or more if sewing is not the focus of your class (pattern making, craft nights, etc)

The space you use is self contained away from our operations.

Payments are due before your class date(s)

How do I sign up?

Simple. Choose your day, time frame, and then click on the book now button to check out and make your payment.

What events can I host?

Sewing Pattern Making, Open Sew Event, Mending Styles, Textile Education, and more. If you're unsure, get in touch with us, and we can help guide you in the process.

Do I need teaching experience?

Short answer: No. However, if you are looking to lead a sewing class, we ask that you come in for a free overview of the machines before your class to ensure you are comfortable using them. This can be set up before or after you book your time slot.

Does Public Thead Help Promote My Class?

Yes. We are happy to help promote your class/event. Please provide any images, copy, and logo you'd like us to use in the promotions.

Do I sell my own tickets?

Yes. You may sell tickets via different platforms, social media, or direct to you customers. We are happy to help guide you in this process if you would like.

We are also happy to link to any platform of your choice to aid you in selling tickets. All you need to do is provide the link to us before you class.

Can I run recurring classes?

Yes. We would love to provide a space for your recurring class or classes.

What materials do I need to bring?

The only materials you need to bring are the following

  • fabric for your specific class
  • thread
  • notions
  • pattern papper
  • any specialty items required for your specific class.

What's your cancellation policy?

We require 24 hour notice to cancel for a full refund. All classes canceled without 24 hour notice will not be eligible for a refund.

Does this support Public Thread’s mission?
